PaphosNet news about SAVEMEDCOASTS, Isotech’s new project funded by DG ECHO
ISOTECH’s latest European project, SAVEMEDCOASTS “Sea level rise scenarios along the Mediterranean coasts”, which is funded by the European Union Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection, has been presented today by PaphosNet.
ISOTECH’s Director, Xenia I. Loizidou emphasized that although Cyprus is an island, we know very little about the impacts of sea level rise and the extend of which these will affect our country.
Within the framework of SAVEMEDCOASTS, ISOTECH is organising and implementing a small group meeting in Cyprus, that aims to bring together key stakeholders and decision makers to discuss sea level rise: gaps, needs and opportunities for action. The meeting is taking place in Geroskipou, on the 22nd March 2017. Small group meetings in Greece and Italy will also take place in the coming months.
