Job Opportunity for an Engineer/Scientist with Environmental, Waste and Project Management Experience

The successful candidate will be required to:

– Manage and coordinate projects at the national, EU and international level
– Implement environmental engineering studies (e.g. Environmental Impact Assessments, Waste Management Plans, Waste Characterization Studies, Community Annoyance Assessments, Construction Environmental Management Plans, etc)
– Participate in various meetings and workshops in Cyprus and abroad as part of the implementation of projects
– Monitor and report on the technical and financial aspects of projects

– University Degree (BSc and/or MSc) in Engineering or Sciences. A post-graduate degree in environmentally-related issues will be considered a plus.
– At least 3 years of relevant experience.
– Fluent in Greek and English (spoken and written)
– Project Management Certification (e.g. Prince2 or similar) and/or registration in an engineering/ technical chamber (e.g. ETEK) will be considered as additional qualifications.

– Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills are required for this role
– Able to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
– Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
– Available for frequent travel abroad (short duration)
– Strong presentation, inter-personal and communication skills
– An easy going personality and a positive attitude.
