Location: Hall next to the harbour in Hvide Sande
Date: 8 – 31 July 2014
Description: The next stop was the fishing village of Hvide Sande, where there are over 70 fishing vessels (population 3.046). The exhibition was set up in a hall that was rented by the municipality of Ringkøbing-Skjern. The exhibition was announced in local press, the municipal webpage as well as a poster campaign. Signs were placed by the main road directing visitors to the exhibition. At the time the exhibition was visiting the area, there was a local festival attracting many people to the harbour area. The exhibition was opened by a local politician and we were interviewed live on regional radio. The exhibition was shown along with pictures from a contest that was held in the area showing art made from marine litter. There was a table set up where visitors could create their own artwork from items collected from the beach. There were about 300 people of all ages visiting the exhibition with many families.
